General Conditions for carrying out of the oversized cargo transport
Lengh
Maximum permitted vehicle and load length is:
- 12.00 m for the truck (solo vehicle)
- 16.50 for havy trucks (tractor and semi-trailer)
- 18.50 m for a truck with a trailor (road train)
Width
Max permitted width of the vehicle and load is 2.50 m
Height
Max permitted heigth of the vehicle and load is 4.00 m
Total weight
Max permitted weight of the vehicle and the load is 40t (on 2+3 axles)
Axle Weights
Maximum Permitted Axle Weight:
- 10t on a single axle
- 8t per axle for multiaxle vehicles
When the axial distance between the 2 (two) neighbouring axles exceeds 2.00 m , axles are considered to be single.
Escort of the oversized cargo transport is obligatory for all types of oversized cargo transport without an exception.Forming of the convoy of at most 3 (three) vehicles an a single convoy is permitted , provided that these are accompanied by at least two escorting convoys.Police escort is obligatory in the cases when:- total vehicle and load length exceeds 25.00 m
- total vehicle and load length exceeds 3.50 m or
- total vehicle and load length exceeds 4.50 m.
Oversized cargo transport are only performed by day and at good sight conditions.
Weekend restrictions
During the weekend oversized cargo transport is forbidden to be carried out:
- on Fridays from 12 to 5 on Saturdays
- on Sundays from 12 to 5 on Mondays
Holiday restrictions
During the holidays it is forbidden to carry out oversized cargo transport on:
- the day before the holiday from 12 to 5 on the first day of holiday
- from the last day of holiday from 12 to 5 on the first day after the holiday
Expert's opinion (expertise) by ''Road Institute'' and ''Bridge Institute'' is necessary: On the regional roads
For the vehicles and loads whose total weight exceeds 80t.
On the magistral road
For the vehicles and loads whose total weight exceeds 100t.
Expert's opinion (expertise) of the ''Road Institute'' is necessary:
For the loads whosw width exceeds 5 m.
